Free Color Help From Our Decorating Team
Hyannis is one of two Hubbard’s stores with decorating help and advice in the store, and color consultations are free. Paint colors react differently in varied light and across different surfaces, so our decorating team can help you find a shade that works in your room, not just on a chip.
Because light changes through the day, look at your favorites in the room itself, in daylight and again under evening lamps, before you buy. A consultation is a good way to narrow a handful of favorites down to one or two before you commit to a gallon.
Matching Paint Colors and Wood Stains
Paint Color Matching
Color matching is free at Hubbard’s, and it has been since the 1960s. We keep investing in new technology, and our heavy investment in tint systems is what gives you accuracy and repeatability in your Benjamin Moore paints, including when you need more of a color partway through a job.
Stain Matching
Stain matching comes in two forms. For a quick match, we work with you fast to get as close to your target as we can. A detailed match is for when you need a closer, more careful match. It can take more than a day, because it needs multiple coats and drying time, and it carries a $10 charge. If possible, bring a sample of the wood to be stained along with a sample of the target.
Accounts, Rewards, and Early Hours for Contractors
As a paint supplier in Hyannis, MA, we work with contractors and commercial accounts as well as homeowners, and the store opens at 7:00 AM on weekdays.
Contractors and commercial accounts can join the free Benjamin Moore Contractor Rewards program, earn points on qualifying purchases, and redeem them when they are ready. Our system uploads your Benjamin Moore purchases to your rewards account automatically. Hubbard’s also offers personal and commercial charge accounts.
A Family Business on Cape Cod Since 1955
Fred and Jeannine Hubbard started Hubbard Paint & Wallpaper in Fairhaven in 1951 and moved to Cape Cod in 1955 after finding that most of their business was already there. Today it is a second- and third-generation family business. Our deep roots in the community and the paint trade let us serve customers personally and respond to local needs, and our goal is still to help you find the right product at the right price.
